Privacy Notice
OmInsights is preparing for a controlled India Legal beta. This notice explains the intended privacy posture for beta users and will be finalized before real lawyer matter data is invited into the product.
What OmInsights may process
- Account details such as name, email, role, organization, and login metadata.
- Workspace and tenant metadata.
- Legal matter metadata entered by users.
- Uploaded documents and extracted document text.
- Generated summaries, readiness packets, notes, and AI-assisted outputs.
- Usage events such as uploads, imports, queries, packet generation, and support activity.
- Billing details when paid beta begins.
Why OmInsights processes data
- Provide the product workspace.
- Organize matters and documents.
- Generate source-linked matter readiness outputs.
- Run search, retrieval, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Secure accounts and detect abuse.
- Provide support and handle incidents.
- Handle deletion, export, privacy, billing, and support requests.
- Improve reliability and cost controls using operational metrics.
No model training on beta matter data by default
OmInsights does not use beta matter documents, matter text, or privileged legal content to train models by default.
If this position changes, OmInsights must obtain explicit consent and update product and policy language before doing so.
AI providers and infrastructure
OmInsights may use cloud infrastructure and AI providers to process user requests. The beta infrastructure target is India-first, with AWS Mumbai as the primary region where practical.
Some AI providers or subprocessors may process data outside India depending on selected service and configuration. Provider terms, storage, caching, and commercial beta posture must be reviewed before real data beta.
Retention and logs
OmInsights should retain data only as long as needed for beta operation, support, security, legal obligations, and agreed customer use. Raw provider snapshots and sensitive operational logs should have short retention by default.
OmInsights should not log privileged text, full document contents, secrets, payment credentials, or raw AI prompts containing sensitive matter data unless explicitly required for a controlled debug session.
User requests
Beta users may contact privacy@ominsights.in to request:
- Access to their data.
- Correction of inaccurate account or workspace data.
- Deletion of beta workspace data where permitted.
- Export of matter/document metadata and generated outputs where practical.
- Withdrawal of consent for optional processing.
